Genesis Healthcare, Kindred Healthcare Enter Strategic Clinical Collaboration

Genesis Healthcare (GEN) and Kindred Healthcare, Inc. (KND) said pre-market Wednesday they formed a strategic clinical collaboration to improve quality, outcomes and care transitions across the post-acute continuum. This clinical collaboration combines Genesis’ nursing facilities with Kindred’s rehabilitation and post-acute care services in the U.S. The services include home health, hospice, long-term acute care hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, and contract rehabilitation in acute and skilled facilities.
